Krsnakatha Dasi is a Hungarian born painter from London, who use the traditional symbols in a new aspect, combines iconography and art. Her style is symbolism involving meditative or “Art Yoga” method , which is her main subject.
For her painting a way to understand this world, to find the right place and way to be connected, to find the absolute value. Painting is a spiritual practice, meditation, which can help to find the missing contact between man and the Absolute. It is much above pleasure, joy or self-expression.
She’s been committed to Asian art from her teens and therefore moved to India for a few years. She learned the Indian meaning of art: it was a revelation for her to understand the connection between philosophy and art. In India she got a good opportunity to practice her meditative technique. She took part in workshops and exhibitions, mostly in New Delhi. When she came back to Europe she had more exhibitions. She is living in the UK now, worked and exhibited with Bromley Art Society. She writes articles, gives lectures and organizes retreats focusing on art and Art Yoga.
She published a book about Rabintranath Tagore in 2004 and a photo album in 2012 – Sunrise – about Ludas-tó (Hungary) with the text of Hansakunda Upanishad.
